I’ve been having a burning sensation down there ever since I had sex with someone who has hpv 1 I really don’t want to get checked bc I’m scared of the outcome so should I just wait to see if the burning goes away ??? It’s been off and on for about a month

No because even though you are scared you need to get take care of yourself. I know they negative news is scary but it doesn't go away if you don't find it out.

Even if the news is bad, it’s far better to know and take measures to ease symptoms than to ignore it and possibly allow it to get worse/spread.  
Don’t put yourself through the unnecessary worries and anxiety of not knowing.
