How do you count your pregnancy weeks?

I am sure of my ovulation which was on 15 June, and i had a positive test kn 14 DPO. Does this mean I’m two weeks pregnant? My doctor keep counting from my last period and tell me I am 4 weeks!

Doctors will always start with last monthly period even though it’s an outdated way of calculated weeks. 
Assuming a perfect 28 day cycle where ovulation occurs exactly on cycle day 14, weeks 1-2 of pregnancy are the weeks of your period and ovulation. You’re not actually pregnant until 3-4 weeks, when implantation takes place. So at ovulation, you are “2 weeks pregnant”.
Pregnancy typically lasts 40 weeks from your period (again, assuming that perfect 28 day cycle) or 38 weeks from ovulation.

I thought the same. You would think it would count from last day of conception or ovulation but it’s the first day of your last period 🤷🏻‍♀️ well it makes you further along than you thought you would be so it’s a good thing 👍🏽
