As an adult, do you really have it all figured out?

I am now starting my actual career. I am feeling inadequate and lost. I look at my peers and wonder how everyone has it all together. I’m sure there are people who genuinely do have it together…but id like to know who else kind of feels like they need to fake it until they make it. I’m 22. I know it’s still a time of figuring stuff out. I feel embarrassed at times not knowing. I know I’m not supposed to know everything and I never will. Any tips for this lost 22 year old… lost and confused is not even half of it

At 40 years old, I know that I don't know half as much as I thought I knew at 20 when I thought I knew mostly everything.

Do I have an awesome life that I love? Absolutely.
Do I have everything figured out? HELL NO 😂
My best advice would be probably just to find what makes you happy and follow that. Life is too short to be miserable.

Nobody has it all together. NOBODY. I’m 35, and on paper I’m killing it. Thoughtful husband, 2 beautiful babies, and a job that pays me well. And guess what? I’m winging it. There’s no manual for life. At 22 you’re still a few years from your brain even being fully developed! You’re going to make some mistakes. You’re supposed to make some mistakes. That’s how growth happens. Do the best you can, be kind and help others when you can.

I’m 30 and I can honestly say I’ve never felt more like I DON’T have it figured out. Nothing. Life is hard, it’s ever-changing. Give yourself some grace and patience.

At the start of my adulthood, which was 25 for me because that’s when I was done with school and starting my career, I also felt lost and sort of “fake it til you make it.” Now 5 years in I feel more established and more in control but I don’t know if anyone ever feels like that for sure have it together 100% of the time. I have days where I feel so great and in control and others where it feels overwhelming and over my head. Totally normal to feel like you don’t have it together yet.

Some days I’m kickin @$$ and takin names and some days I feel lost or behind. The first problem always start when you start comparing your life and yourself to others, what they’re doing and where they’re at. Take life at your own pace. What’re you in a hurry for?

I’m 22 and in the same boat as you. Realizing my minimum wage job isn’t going to cut it forever, I’m now FREAKING out about going back to college and starting my career. I have absolutely no idea where I want to be in the next 5 years. I have some family support but I’m not sure if I have the mental strength to go back to school and support myself at the same time, all while my partner also wants to go back to school. I definitely can relate girl
