Car seat help!!!!

Question

I have a Graco 4 ever car seat for my 5 year old son And expecting baby boy in December. Do I get baby new car seat? Or get my son a new seat and transfer current seat back to infant?

Get oldest this seat (it’s cheaper than the 4Ever) and keep him rear facing to 50lbs (safer!) Then when he outgrows the rear facing limit, move him forward in the old seat and give baby this seat to keep them rear facing for as long as possible. 
That’s exactly what I’m doing with mine who are currently 5 and 3. I had the 4Ever first, bought the Extend2Fit when my second came along and moved my oldest into the new seat. Once one of them outgrows the rear facing limit on their seat they will swap and my oldest will forward face in the 4Ever while my youngest rear faces in the Extend2Fit.

Unless your 5 year old is almost out of the high backed booster and into the regular booster I would just get the infant a new seat. If the 5 year old is almost to a regular booster I’d give the 4ever to the infant and buy a new booster.

I would get the baby a new seat. It sounds like your 5 year old hasn’t outgrown the harness yet and he’s safer in that than just a booster seat

How old is the car seat your 5 yr old is in? Car seats are typically only good for 6 years so if he’s been in it since birth you’ll be needing a new one for your new baby. You can look up your car seat and find the manufacturers guidelines for replacing. Basically the plastic gets worn over time and it isn’t as safe during a wreck.
