How long can you breastfeed a toddler, while pregnant? Asking for a friend. When should you stop? Also if they are cramping is it a sign that they should stop breastfeeding?TIA!

If they can ask for it and eat regular food I feel like that’s enough personally.

She should talk to her OB. I breastfed through an entire pregnancy with no problem, but 10 years later I was in the same situation (pregnant and nursing) and had to wean.

Let her talk to her doctor. Some can continue breastfeeding throughout pregnancy with no concern, others may need to stop breastfeeding. It is on an individual basis.

When ever she wants or when/if her milk dries up. There is no good evidence to suggest that low risk pregnant women shouldn’t be allowed to breastfeed through the duration of pregnancy. However, many women dry up.
