Can HSV1 Migrate?

Question

I’ve only had HSV1 sores on my lady parts. Now I’ve found a sore on my gums (my jaw) and I’ve never had that before. 
Is it possible that my outbreaks are spreading or have I came into contact with someone who has the virus also?

Technically, you should not be able to pass the same type of HSV to another body part since you would already have antibodies...unless you were very recently infected (but not very common).
It is possible though that you may have contracted the other type in your mouth. For example, if you have HSV 2 on your genitals...you wouldn’t have antibodies for HSV 1, and therefore you can become infected with HSV 1 from someone else in your mouth and vice versa.
