Cervix dilating??

Question

Can anyone else feel themselves dilating? I was 1 cm dilated 2 weeks ago, i go in for another cervical check tomorrow and firmly believe i will be more dilated during that check. The sensation i feel is super uncomfortable like having a dry tampon that isnt in all the way. It feels like my baby is sticking its fingers through my cervix. Does anyone else feel this along with contractions sporadically through the day??? Im 35 weeks and have a family history of preterm labor so im aware i could go into labor soon im just curious if anyone else has ever or is feeling this too…

I am 35 weeks and 1cm dilated and 50% effaced. I’ve been having cramping and lots of lightning crotch and I’ve been told it means my body has been starting to dilated and my cervix thinning.

i am not dialated but 50% effaced. i felt weird for a few days with cramps. but like the other commenter, since being checked, i have been experiencing tons of lightning crotch

I was just telling someone today that I feel like I can feel my cervix opening. I am also having tons of lightning crotch and wake up with cramps every morning. But when i sit on the toilet especially I can just feeeeeel that something is different in there. I haven’t been checked yet I’m 35+1 . I haven’t seen a doctor in a month bc I switched practices and they couldn’t get me in right away. I finally have an appointment in the morning and I’m not sure if they’ll be checking me or not but I would bet that If they did check me I’d be dilated to some extent!! We’ll see

I started having contractions at about 27 weeks and at 28 weeks I got checked and was 1cm.. 10 days later contractions picked up at that time I was 29+4. Went to l&d and was 2cm, a few hours later I was 2.5 and got admitted. I received beta shots and magnesium. Maybe 2-3 hours into the magnesium drip my contractions slowed but I was still progressing. At that point I was 3.5cm. Once contractions stopped I told the dr I didn’t want to be checked again as I felt them continuously checking me played a role in my progression. They agreed unless I began contracting or had any complaints of pain they wouldn’t check me. Maybe 12-16 hours in I got checked just to make sure I didn’t progress to active labor which at my hospital is considered at 6cm. I was a 4 and remained a 4 for over 24 hrs. At 30 weeks exactly I was discharged and put on modified rest. I’ll be 32 weeks tomorrow and I am almost positive I have definitely progressed to more than a 4! I go to the dr in 3 days and I have no intentions on getting checked. Trying to keep baby in for at least another 2 weeks so praying he stays put.
