I’m pretty upset I didn’t get to hang with her or say goodbye

My sister got married on Saturday. We rented a house about 15 minutes from her venue. She had an after party at her venue and they had a hotel room there for the night.

At the after party me and my fiancé were stuck with his mom because she knows no one, so we couldn’t really go around and mingle with anyone. My mom was set on leaving at 12 to go home. She kept calling ubers and lyfts and there was none around.

The front desk basically was like “keep trying you might get one at 3 am. If not we can see if there an empty hotel room for you” My mom’s friend was staying in town at a different hotel and offered her a ride so we decided to go with her due to Uber shortages. We had to leave immediately so I didn’t get to say goodbye to my sister. I explained the situation and she seemed ok with it.

I’m a little upset/mad we didn’t get to mingle due to my MIL, had to leave early and didn’t get to hang with her. She said that all my cousins stayed and were playing a drinking game but that one set of cousins had to basically pay someone at the hotel $100 to drop them off downtown because no Ubers were around. Everyone else was at the venue. I’m glad we didn’t have to deal with that but upset that we didn’t get to hang afterwards with her.
