Do contractions feel like poo pain?

First time don’t know what to expect. 
I keep getting this pain that feels like when you’re about to have diarrhea or have to do a bad BM.. which I guess is similar to period cramps. But it makes me go sit on the toilet expecting a BM and I don’t actually have to poop. Could this be contractions?

Not exactly but pushing the baby out feels like pooping a basketball 😂 best way to describe it!

The best way I could describe what contraction pain felt like to me was the worst indigestion cramps ever. What was different about contractions is that the pain came on gradually over 10-30 seconds, peaked for 5-10 seconds, then gradually faded over 10-30 seconds. During the pain I could also feel that my belly was very hard with my hands. Hope this helps!

With my second I sat on the toilet for a long time during active labor just because that’s what it felt like and I didn’t feel comfortable getting up because I thought I was going to poop my pants lol. It was a very quick intense labor though I wasn’t super in my right mind haha

Mine felt like the most intense menses cramps you could ever imagine…like the whole lower half of my body trying to split in two. Didn’t feel like poo cramps

Contractions to me feel like a really tight hug inside your body not like poop pain. The pressure is normal though
