Pp bleeding vs period

I’m 5 weeks postpartum today, have been spotting and cramping the last 5 days with some small clots. I’m formula feeding and my ob said that this is possibly my first period or just more postpartum bleeding. I have a feeling it is my period because of the cramping and because my bleeding stopped at 2 weeks postpartum. What was everyone first period like/when did it return? My bleeding seems to have gotten a little heavier today..
