Labor/delivery 2nd time around - quicker?

Question

For the mom’s that delivered vaginally for their first birth and have delivered a second child, how would you compare the two births? Was your labor/delivery much shorter the second time around? Did you need an epidural? Was second time around less painful or basically the same? I have read that usually the second time around it’s much quicker but just wanted to hear women’s stories.

First was 7hrs, 1hr of pushing on epidural
Second was 1hr with 2-3min of pushing. No time for epidural

Both of mine came on their own (water broke). My first i pushed for over two hours and it was horrific. She came 24 hours after my water broke.
My second, water broke, I tried to control my breathing and not tense up thru the pain of contractions and it made a HUGE difference in my experience. She came 4 hours after water broke and I pushed for 20minutes. The doctor was letting me decide when to push this time based off when I was feeling contractions. It was a much better experience and way faster the second time.

I was induced both times - no epidurals with either of them 
With my first I was induced at 42 weeks. The induction process started at 8 pm. Nothing was happening so I tried to sleep. At exactly midnight contractions started at 5 mins apart. At 3:30 am I started pushing then at 4:15am my son was born
With my second I was induced at 39 weeks. The process started at 10pm and nothing was happening so I decided to sleep. I was able to sleep through the night. Then at 10am I was given cervidil. At noon my contractions started at 3 mins apart, INTENSE contractions. At 12:30pm contractions were 1.5 mins apart. At 12:50pm I started pushing and at 12:55pm my son was born. After labor my midwife gave me pitocin because I kept getting contractions after birth
So yes labor for me second time around was way quicker and more painful! I feel like the second time around my mind could not process fast enough with what was happening to my body. I cried and cried after my second birth badly
Postpartum wise my first birth was way worse. I needed 4 stitches with my first

With my first my water broke at 6:45 am got to the hospital  around 7am was fully dilated by 2p. They made me wait and use a medicine ball to get her drop more by 4pm It was go time pushed 3 times abd she was out. 
My second  got to the hospital around 1:30/2am was fully  dilated by  approximately 7:40am. Water  broke pushed 4 time and she was out. 
So for my my second came a few hours sooner than my first.  
But I'm  sure you've heard each pregnancy and delivery  can be so different.

Both of mine came naturally at 39 weeks. I was in labor with both for 13-14 hours. Other than that, they were totally different. With my first I labored for 12-13 hours, then my water broke and he was born an hour later. All the contractions were in my stomach. With my second, my water broke a few hours in and she was born about 10 hours later. Ah the contractions were in my pelvis, which didn't necessarily hurt more, but it made pp harder because the uterus shrinking back down felt the same and it freaked me out. Her labor felt a lot slower.

I was induced both times. With my first I was 37+2 and only 1cm. I was in active labor for 3 hours. With my second I was 39+3 and was already 5cm and I was in active labor for 25 min. I got an epidural both times but I probably didn’t need one with my second. If I have a 3rd I’m going to try all natural. The second birth was so much quicker and I only pushed 2-3 times and baby flew out. She was a lot bigger than my first too. First was 6 lb 2 oz and my second was 8 lb 11 oz 😳

The first time I went into labor naturally after my water broke at 40+2. I was in labor for about 18 hours and I had back contractions. After the epidural I got some relief and they did give me some pitocin because I wasn’t progressing very quickly. My second labor I was induced at 39 weeks (slightly raised BP) and it was such a better experience. I think it was around 11 hours from arriving to the hospital to her being born. Labor started much more gently and I was able to get the epidural before the contractions were unbearable. No back labor this time. If I have a third I think I’ll ask to be induced again!
