My daughter is finally getting out of the house after her ectopic pregnancy

This is the first time my daughter is really getting out of the house since her ectopic pregnancy. Her friend(and child's father) Wyatt and her went to a rodeo with his older sister. I have always said Wyatt is an odd kid. My daughter is 15 he's 16. He came over wearing a skirt. I just said I liked his skirt and he said "It's not a skirt it's a kilt". His mom rolled her eyes. I asked any particular reason he's wearing a kilt and he said he saw it on Amazon and had enough for it. Odd kid. Sweet though. After they left me and he mom talk. I told her she has a unique kid and we said "Yeah what's unique about him gets him beat up by other kids..." She asked how my daughter was coping and I asked how Wyatt was coping.. We both realized... We spent time trying to help our kids grieve.... We never grieved ourselves.... We were able to lean on each other. And support each other. We stayed strong for our kids but we're vulnerable with each other. I wasn't even vulnerable with my husband because We were both so focused on helping our daughter through this. Wyatt is a great kid with a great mom. Someone had commented that they think Wyatt will grow on my daughter and she will like him as more than a friend. I can certainly say his family has grown on me!
