Vbac?

Has anyone had a successful vbac? My first pregnancy, will be 5 years ago in November ,I dilated till 5 1/2 when thye decided I wasn’t progressing anymore and did a csection. 
I’ve also compared my birth to my sisters, and the nurse helped them dilate, mines didn’t.

I’ve had two successful VBACs. One was a drug free hospital VBAC and my last was a home birth. I stopped dilating at 9cm with my first. I labored for 28 hours.

Yep! My first daughter was a c section, and then I had a successful VBAC with my second daughter 16 months later! It was AWESOME 🤗

I had a successful vbac in 2018 and plan to again this time around. My water did break on its own. My contractions were inconsistent though so they let me use a pump and it did the trick. Was also an un medicated as well

You gotta be your own advocate during labor. It’s a shame the nurses didn’t help more. It’s also why doulas are becoming more common in hospital births. You have to hire a doula yourself. All doulas do is help with comfort and suggest new positions to work the baby out. That’s not really a nurses job. If you’re just lying there in pain and not determined to move around or breath through contractions, or express in any way that you’ve given up, the hospital staff will say it’s time for a caesarean because they are thinking that will help you, that that’s what they can do for you. I really hope you get  the VBAC you want!
