Pelvic exam question??

I’ve never been to a girl doctor so I’ve never had a doctor check me down there and I’m terrified to let my doctor my appointment is tomorrow at 4 and I don’t know how to sooth my anxiety or what to expect… I’m 16 weeks and 2 days right now 🥺🌈💙💕

I'm not sure how that's possible not having one done before...thats really not safe. For me I have cancer in my family so to get checked is crucial but for you I'm just wondering how old u are to not have gotten one done. Anyways if ur nervous make sure ita a female doctor because their are guy doctors too...also make it known u like to know before she touches you...my doctor for my first pregnancy always asked is it ok to touch or say I'm about to touch and then saying touching...my doctor now this being my 3rd we know each other gotten check ups and pregnancy so it's just like riding a bike...just state to ur doc it's ur first and ur nervous and she will go over everything with u....tho I think even if u don't say that she still will bc ur a new patient with her.

If you explain that & your Dr has Excellent bedside manners you'll be just fine. They usually walk you through each step when doing exams. You'll probably still be uncomfortable but I believe you will be fine

Does this anxiety come from past abuse or just because you don’t know what to expect? 
It’s all very fast anything they do. If you are anxious from past trauma, mention it to your doctor so they can walk you thru it at your pace. Pregnancy comes with lots of unusually and sometimes uncomfortable exams if you aren’t used to it.
