So I gave birth 7/13 and have been breastfeeding and pumping…currently in day 4 with my little one…yesterday and today my boobs are ENGOURGED! One worse then the other and it has gotten to the point I can feed my little one because my nipples are so tender and flat. Was told it could be due to my mature milk coming in, and my breast getting used to feeding…but how can I relive the pain and swelling. I’m told to feed my babygirl on cue, but can’t, and she gets very fussy after trying to latch too many times. I’ve tried heat, I’ve tried cold packs, but I need something that will at least lessen down the tenderness so I can feed her…HELP!
