2 1/2 cm dilated and 40 effaced at 35 weeks!

Anyone else dilated already? My doctor predicts the baby will be coming after 37 weeks but before 40 weeks, since this is my first pregnancy. BUT I read if I’m already dilated, and 40% effaced, labor could start any day now, is that true? When they were checking my cervix opening, they said they could feel the baby’s head already too!! It’s crazy, but I’m so excited!!! Sad my husband is deployed and can’t come back but my baby is a part of him, so I know he’s with me ❤️
