So we’re traveling and didn’t notice my dads passport expires before the travel date since he has a Mexican passport so we got confused on the date format, he also has a green card so he is a lawful permanent resident.

So could he be able to travel from US to Mexico and come back into the country with expired passport but valid green card? I’ve been reading online and it says you can but just want to see if anybody has had the experience to do it or can tell me anything.?
