Well here's the thing you don't own him, you're not "letting" him go. You're expressing that within your relationship that is not something you feel comfortable with and it is then his responsibility to respect the relationship and respect that boundary. If he can't respect a simple boundary like that one then unfortunately you are in for a real treat and might be better off finding a more suitable respectful partner.

Depends on your relationship and the reason he’s going. If my husband was going for a friends bachelor party I wouldn’t care but if it was “just because” on a random night I’d say no.
