Should I have a baby?

I’ve been asking myself this for awhile. I’m super in love with someone and they want to have a baby too but we don’t necessarily have the means to provide for a baby. i have a job but i can’t barely take care of myself. i feel selfish for wanting a child knowing i don’t have the money but at the same time i am between 25-30 so i’m in the perfect years to have a baby before i might lose my chances. what should i do? i really do want a child but i fear i won’t be able to provide.

People don’t suddenly dry up and become infertile once they hit 30. If you know you’re not in a stable enough place to provide for a child, don’t have one. You have plenty of time to get things in place.

If you cant take care of yourself its not fair to a child to have to struggle too for a choice that you made. If you cant take care of yourself why would you want your child to suffer? Can you imagine not being able to provide food, diapers, clothing? If the thought of that doesnt make your stomach turn or break your heart then you really arent ready

No, you should not have a baby now. You have many years to have children once you’re financially stable. I didn’t have my first until 35 and my kids want for nothing. Keep saving and establish your career and you’ll be ready. Also, think about childcare. Birth-one year daycare in my area is 1250.00 a month. Who will watch your child when you return to work?

Give yourself more time. If you know financially you are not ready, do not dive in and hope for the best. Women go on to have babies well into their 30’s. The expenses - expected and unexpected - that come with pregnancy, child birth, and raising a baby, are a lot. You have time. You’ll know when you’re actually ready.
