Missing out?

I feel like im missing out on my babys first year because since 3 months old she has been doing to daycare because i am a single mom and have to work. I feel so sad and like our bond is fading away 😞

Answer

I worked full time (after 6 weeks), did grad school full time, and got pregnant again (at 7 months) with my first baby. I feel like I was so busy and I would be missing out. But truly I didn’t. My daughter is the most amazing, loving, smart little girl and we have a wonderful bond. She doesn’t remember that I was working or at school. She knows and loves me so much. It’s hard to break a mother-child bond. I’m sure you’re doing just fine momma and your kid will only benefit from how hard you work.

Your bond won’t ever fade. I was in daycare full time from 2 months until like grade 7 cuz my mom had to work. I have like 5 memories from the daycare and day homes. The rest are of my family life. It doesn’t even feel like I wasn’t with them that much.
