Baby shower?!

I have limited family and friends, and no one has offered to throw a baby shower (which is totally fine, ppl have busy lives). But would it be tacky if I just sent out Shower by Mail invites with registry info? I would forgo the whole thing, but I am a FTM and it's alot of stuff to buy. I bought all the big ticket items already tho.

I’m going to send out a virtual invite on FB with my registry link because I’m tired of having to entertain people at my house 🤣 I say go for it!

No one's offered to throw me one yet either, so me and hubby are throwing our own. We are including that we DO NOT expect anyone coming to buy a gift, we just want to have a party to celebrate our baby (it'll be his first and my second, but there's over 5 years between them). It's modern era, we gotta stop allowing antiquated etiquette rules to shame us away from having fun 😂

Definitely. I did pretty much that with my first dine we don't have a ton of family or friends near us.  With my second now I'm just throwing my own baby shower. 🤷‍♀️

We are planning our own shower and sending out e invites with our registry included. Anyone who would plan ours is out of state so, I don’t see anything wrong with doing it ourselves!!
