was in a long distance relationship for 6 months. we started out long distance he was in Texas and I was in Minnesota. Did almost break up after 2 months because he couldn't handle it an wanted to have an open relationship until we met in person. Gave him two options either he was with me only or we were officially done. I told him he chose to be officially done I would block him on every single social media and
 he would never be able to connect me again. We met on a video game. After 6 months we met in person a.in that 2 weeks he came to visit he decided to stay. We got engaged in 2017 and got married in 2019. Long distance is hard but as long as you both work at it and make sure you make time it will work. Me an him we talked once a week on the phone. The one thing that I did require him we first started dating after 3 months is that he had to make sure it was Facebook official because I was not going to be a hidden girlfriend.

My husband and I were long distance for about 4 years. Only saw each other on weekends. Communication is so important in long distance relationships. Trust is vital. It’s tough but in my case was totally worth it. After 4 years long distance he moved near me and then we moved in together 1 year after that. Been married since 2014.

Yes, I was in one for awhile, it just became less long distance. 
It's difficult sometimes, but I think it gives you an opportunity to really build trust and connect by talking.

Used to be for about 3 months. My husband and I would only talk through FaceTime everyday. Til finally we met each other in person when I went out to visit him and we instantly fell more inlove with each other. He was in Florida and I was in California. He moved down here for a awhile with me and then we decided to move back to Florida.

I was in a long-distance relationship with my now husband for 2 years! We met while I was living in Ohio (he was visiting a friend). My husband is Swedish and lives in Stockholm so we were long-distance until we got engaged and I applied to move to Sweden. Those two years long-distance were challenging since we only saw each other about 4 times a year, but we made our relationship work. We Skyped a lot and we were talking and texting on Whatsapp multiple times a day. I am now a permanent resident in Sweden and will have dual citizenship soon. We've been married for almost 3 years 🙂. I never imagined that I would be living in Sweden and married to a Swedish man, but here we are and I couldn't be happier.

Tried it twice. 
First time was one of my worst relationship ever. Dude wanted me on the phone 24/7. Was a toxic as hell and turned out he lied about everything but his name. Every time. I was left with several thousand dollars in debt and deep trusting issues. 
I met another dude on Twitter about a year and half later. It didn’t start romantically at all, but we quickly became best friends. About 8 months later I took a vacation to his state and we decided to give a try. We are married now and expecting our second child. 
Bottom line, it can be just as difficult as any other relationship. Someone once told me long relationship don’t last, but neither do relationship where you see each other day to day if you are not willing to work on them. I feel like it’s the same risk.

My husband and I are technically long distance we only see each other about once a month and my sister-in-law only sees her husband every 4 to 6 months and I haven't talked to her that much about it but I know my personal opinion is that it's kind of nice to know that you have someone you trust and someone who loves you and you love back in a committed relationship but you still get butterflies every time you see each other kind of like the honeymoon phase. Obviously there are pros and cons but the pros definitely outweigh all of the negative things because sure it would be nice to see him everyday but we have never been so happy in our relationship now that we're able to miss each other. It's 110% not for everyone but my husband and I thrive this way so far.

My husband and I started as a long distance couple - him in Texas, and me in Missouri. I eventually moved to TX to go to college and we got married right after my junior year. That was 6 years ago and we are still together 😊
