How do you handle baby showers?

I’ll be honest - I hate going to baby showers. I didn’t used to, but since we’ve been TTC - it hurts. It just breaks my heart to go. But I don’t want to seem unsupportive or rude by not going. What do you all do?

Manifest!!! 
When I was struggling TTC and I had a baby shower to attend I would make sure to support that friend every way possible. I wanted to be a part of it to help them! 
Then once the shower was playing out and we were all sitting around watching my friend open gifts I would manifest. Picture my baby shower. The excitements, nervousness, joy, and happiness. 
 You can find happiness is another persons blessing 💜

It depends on how close you are… I had a miscarriage and had a hard time with baby announcements I now have a sun and, now I try to be very cognizant and check in with friends tcc or going through a loss. If you are close and can talk about it  they shoul understand and hopefully can be someone you can vent to

I pretty much avoided them when I was TTC but it depends on who’s shower it is. I obviously would have had to go if my sister was pregnant. It’s not selfish at all and you shouldn’t feel guilty for protecting your heart. Most people register on Amazon I just send gifts because going to the baby isle kind of sucked
