What would you do with $100,000?

Question

Paying off debt would make us completely 100% debt free. Debt includes student loans, car bills, credit cards & medical expenses. 
Investing it would keep our debt and even increase the debt if a rental property is purchased. 
Comment what you would do and why ☺️ and if you have experience with either of these. Thanks!

I’d put 20,000 away immediately as an emergency savings, and then I’d use the rest to pay down debt such as student loans, our trailer payment, and our car payments.

Debt first. You can do anything with great credit. You’d be able to purchase a rental property with good credit.

Honestly it depends how much debt you had. But Personally I would probably invest a portion of it, but I would definitely pay off any debts I did have with it with the exception of a small part of our mortgage to keep something going to build credit.

I have less than $8,000 in debt and paying off my autoloader would actually ding my credit, it's stupid but true, so I would either use it as down payment on a good home with a yard for my baby, or invest it a savings bond, or college fund.

Depends on the interest of your current debt vs investment property interest. If you can yield a high ROI for the rental property that will pay off the debt faster I suggest that because you’re able to utilize it for write offs and build equity. Plus you can sell it whenever you need to.

I would count. Because it depends on how much new dept we're talking about and how profitable would the investment be... 
If it would be that good that I could probably pay off the new dept after few years (and assuming I have a good job, my husband as well)- only than I would invest.
Usually the world works differently though so I would probay pay the old depts first and then think about investments.
