Born 7/17/21, due on 7/25/21!

On the 14th I went in for my 38 1/2 week visit and had a membrane sweep done. She really stirred things up in there and said she gave it her all and would be surprised if I didn’t go into labor in 12-48 hours. Well LONGEST 48 hours of my life! So sore, crampy and on and off strong contractions. The first night I contracted every 10 minutes and then it stopped in the morning. The night after contractions started again and I was finally timing them at every 2-5 minutes for a few hours at 2:00 am. I waiting until I couldn’t bear it anymore, I did not want to get sent home from L&D. I knew that they couldn’t induce or augment because I was 38 6/7 weeks, unless I was making cervical change myself. Got to the hospital at 4 am and thank god I was 4 cm! I was 2 in the office last check. Got my epidural within the first hour, my doctor broke my water bag and my body did it’s own thing! Pushed for 9 minutes (this is my second baby). Christian James was born on 7/17/21 weighing 8 lb 19oz at 38 6/7 weeks! So glad he didn’t stay in any longer!
