Dreaming about past crush..?

At first it was just whatever. But I'm dreaming about her more and more often and I really enjoy those dreams.  I'm starting to think that...maybe I'm just using my boyfriend to get over her so to speak? It was an impossible crush and I wish I didn't like her...but it was also the most intense I've ever felt about someone in my life. Then this guy comes along and shows interest and I decide "hey why not give him a try?" after initially feeing like I'm "cheating" on my crush. He is my first relationship ever. At first it felt like I was 100% devoted to him but now it feels I'm slowly tipping in favor of my past crush. I don't actively daydream about her but I feel like if I had the free time/didn't have my boyfriend to fill the void, I would. Geez do I even make sense :/
