Am I pregnant? So confused

I had a d&c in June due to a MMC. The week before last I went to my OB to have an ultrasound to check that they'd gotten everything in the surgery. He said all looks good, but my pregnancy test came back with a vvvfl but positive so he ordered blood work. I started my period (or at least I think that's what it is, idk) yesterday. Today my OB office called and they wanted me to do a hpt and if it was positive to call and come back in as it may be a new pregnancy. So I take the test and it pops up positive, like real dark, in the first 30 seconds. I'd be ecstatic to have a baby but I'm so worried because I've been drinking and smoking and just not treating my body 100%. No judgment please. Jw if anyone else has dealt with this and what the outcome was?
