Diarrhea as a sign of labor?

Is diarrhea a sign of labor or a sign that labor my be near ? I’m 37 almost 38 weeks and yesterday and today I’ve had horrible diarrhea. TMI sorry but it’s like I can’t eat anything without ending up in the bathroom. I’ve had cramp like contractions on and off that are painful but not regular too.

I even tested for Covid since I know this could be a symptom but it’s negative and I don’t feel sick any other way. My husband feels fine and we eat pretty much the same things.
