Baby is healthy, but cervix is short.
I am 20w 5d and I had my anatomy scan. The baby was measuring great and he was kicking and moving the whole time. But, then the doc was telling me that my cervix was measuring 2.4 and she put me on pelvic rest. She then said that they would keep checking me every week until I was 24 weeks of it didn’t get any shorter. She didn’t put me on progesterone, but she did tell me that if it got past 2.0 then she’d try progesterone first, and if that didn’t help, they’d stitch me. She said she wants me to at least make it to 32 weeks. So, I am taking it easy of course, but now my husband and I are worried. I really need some advice and positive stories from anyone that has gone through this. Is it highly possible that everything will be okay? And that I could carry him to term? This is our first baby and I’m just wanting things to turn out okay. I want to be able to give birth when he’s ready and I just want to bring him home, safe and sound. Thanks for reading.
