Tips for putting baby down

My son is almost 1 month old and he absolutely hates being put down. If I’m not holding him, he screams and cries until I pick him up. I’ve tried laying him in a sleeper, I’ve tried putting him on a boppy pillow, I’ve tried putting him in his swing, but he hates all of those things. He only wants to be held. It is extremely frustrating because I cannot get anything done having to hold him 24/7. I put him in a baby carrier on my chest, but then he just starts crying after 30 minutes. Someone PLEASE give me some tips or advise. I’m losing my mind.
