copper iud help

Hi everyone! I just got my copper iud inserted 3 days ago. I waited a little over 24 hours, and then had sex with my boyfriend. Since then I have had heavier bleeding and I want to make sure my iud isint out of place and that this is normal since it was just put in. I am going to not be sexually active for the next week to let me body adjust to the iud, but i want to make sure it is normal to bleed after. I think I am bleeding more since my cervix is inflamed and I probably should have waited longer to become sexually active, but should I be worried or am I ok?
