Bottle warmers

Question

So i keep seeing ads for bottle warmers and i was curious if anyone actually uses them. If i spend the money to get one is it going to be a waste? My in laws didn’t use one and my cousin didn’t with her baby, but this is my first and i want to know how helpful they are and if i should invest into one.

Idk if you plan on pumping or formula feeding? I learned that I did not have an extra five mins for the warmer to maybe warm up the bottle when my baby was ready to eat. This thing is great. It keeps the water at a constant temperature. You just plug it in and pick the setting you want. There are three different settings.

I used the Philips Avent Bottle Warmer 10x a day when trying to breastfeed because I had to pump to make sure my little guy was eating enough (and to try to keep up my supply). Eventually, my supply could not keep up with his needs so I started using the formula pro advanced for formula and it’s the best baby product you could ever buy. I haven’t touched the bottle warmer since.

Not necessary but very convenient. If you have a baby consignment store or sale near you, I’ll almost guarantee there will be one there for $5-10 so it won’t be a big investment if you don’t use it.
I breast fed but worked full time so my husband loved it for warming up all the pumped milk from the fridge.

We used a bottle warmer for our first so we bought an Avent warmer for this baby. I’ve used it a few times and it does work well, especially if you’re breastfeeding and you need to warm up some frozen milk, however, it’s not nearly as convenient as the Formula Ready kettle if you’re planning to formula feed. This kettle boils the water to kill any bacteria first, then it brings it down to the perfect temperature (105) and holds it there so you always have perfectly safe and warm water available. It takes me about 30 seconds to make a bottle, whereas with a bottle warmer you have to wait 3-6 minutes. When I was breastfeeding in the beginning I set the temperature to 185 so I could always have hot water for my tea, so it has multiple uses! I considered the Brezza instant warmer, but that doesn’t boil/sterilize the water first, plus the water is kept in a plastic basin, whereas the Formula ready is made of nontoxic glass.

I had a version of this for my first baby after i stopped being able to breastfeed after 6mo. I used it all the time! It was fast and easy and never overheated the bottle. I also used it for warming baby food.

This is the one we use. Cheap and works GREAT. Me and my fiancé both love it. I didn’t want to pay a bunch of money for something I wasn’t sure I’d use that often. But we literally use it at least 4 times a day.

So we used a bottle warmer with out first we had hard water and it was gross. We ended up throwing it away. How we do it with our second is warm up water in a coffee mug in the microwave and then place the bottle in the hot water. Or we use our kerig to fill up a coffee mug with hot water and place the bottle in there. I also breastfeed 99% of the time so it isn't done very often.
