Late menstruation or miscarriage??!

My period was late for four days and I experienced abdominal pain for the pass one week; I tried a few pregnancy tests and it all came back negative. On the fourth day if the late period I experienced severe abdominal pain and the next day it went away, but later in the evening I got some fresh red CM and later the wine color red came out. My period was never late and I normally don’t experience cramps during my menstruation, was it possible that was a miscarriage?
