Contraction question

Have your contractions ever felt like a constant pain rather than intervals. I know that might be a stupid question bc a telltale sign of contractions is that they come and go. But I’m having this horrible constant pain like bad period cramps that aren’t letting up and it’s hard to walk through. But it’s not coming and going. So I’m guessing this can’t be labor... right?
