Back contractions

Can contractions in your back go all the way up your back, not just in your lower back? I never had any with my first, but this time around I think I’m having them. It’s like a “sensation” and sometimes reaches up to my shoulders even. Been happening for the last few days along with regular front contractions. Anyone relate to this?
