To early or not to early?

Ok, I’ve recently been buying stuff for my baby such as..
4 Moms Playpen w/a bassinet 
4 Moms Bassinet
1 gown + 1 footie pajama
I was told after just purchasing them it’s “bad luck” & I shouldn’t do so.. I’m currently 10w 4 days pregnant. I get that it’s “early” but, I can’t be excited by buying stuff for the baby?!?!
God forbid anything happens but, I’m buying them and putting it away in the boxes till the time comes.. if that makes sense.. this is my 3rd pregnancy 
My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage @ 8 weeks
My second had a healthy baby boy
& now this one I’m carrying another baby boy.
Should I just cancel my orders ?!? this made me now regret buying things. But, I know if I waited I’d probably wouldn’t be able to buy this myself on my own.

Buy what you want! I buy from the moment I find out and I have 6 kiddos! Be excited!!!

You do what you want and what feels comfortable for you! In my opinion I didn’t buy stuff for awhile because I had two losses and was scared to.

Buy what you want but my second pregnancy ended in miscarriage and seeing the things we’d bought completely devastated me. To make matters worse everything we bought was in the guest bedroom we were going to turn into the nursery. The week of my miscarriage we had a pipe burst and flood part of downstairs including our room. Water remediation had to pull up hardwood floors and leave noisy fans for days, so we had to stay upstairs. In the guest room! Hubby works overnight every third day and the night I stayed up there alone I cried. We had bought a few big items that were a great deal at the time but too big to hide away in a closet or somewhere. I didn’t buy too early next times around and only small things I could put out of sight.

My mom told me the same thing. She didn’t want me to even set up a crib at my home because it was bad luck. We did it anyways. It was my first pregnancy and she was scared And saying it was bad luck. I think if your positive and it makes you happy go for it.

For me, if something happened I’d either save the stuff for another, sell the stuff, or give it away.  I’ve always started buying early and don’t really care what the superstitions of others are.  I get excited and also need to be prepared

Have u had a doctors appt yet? I now wait for that before buying things. I made that mistake, had a missed miscarriage and now those things I don’t feel right about using with another baby but I also don’t feel right about throwing them out so I really wish I would’ve waited until I had a doctors appt.

Buying stuff won’t save or end your pregnancy. It’s an old wives tale

I was told the same thing. I once bought a diaper  bag for my first daughter at 15weeks. And my grandmother screamed at me and threw it in a closet till I was at least 35 weeks.(I was 17 at the moment). I mean it's crazy how  much people believe in these things . 
But for my other pregnancies , I bought things the moment I found out I was pregnant lol.
