Change in amount of discharge when sick

Ever since I can remember I’ve always had a lot of discharge just on regular days. Like panties will end up soaked sometimes even when I’m not in a sexy mood. This has never bothered me and I’ve actually come to like it now that I have a boyfriend and we are very active.

Last week I got strep throat and then subsequently got some other cold type illness (not COVID though) and about halfway through the week I noticed I had itching going on down there. At first, I thought it could be BV because I have a history of it. But the more I’ve noticed the itching is more exterior than interior and I’m super dry.

Is it normal to be dry when you get sick?
