I'm 34 weeks pregnant and am suffering from sciatica to the point that I can't even walk. I work as a waitress so I am required to constantly be on my feet. I'm single and support myself so I'm my only means of income. From what I understand there is no type of government assistance or aid besides short term disability which you have to sign up for BEFORE you become pregnant. What is a person to do if they can't work due to pregnancy? Just let their bills go unpaid? There has to be something or am I basically just screwed?
