Adopting my step son

Sorry I haven't updated guys. We had a scare and thought I was having the baby. Buns still cooking. After I got back from the hospital NY step so tried to ask if I was ok and I interrupted it with "Can I adopt you?" He seemed surprised and asked why and he'll be 18 in a few months so what's the point. The gist of what I said was parenting doesn't stop once to turn 18. I've seen you go from being an angry hurt person to a sweet respectable young man and soon to be big brother. You've been through pain and your mother didn't deserve to have you as a son. You're not a victim of sexual assault. You're a survivor. I watched you quit drugs, quit drinking. Grow through therapy. I've watch you become a ma. You've taught me so much about being a parent. You kept me on my toes and I've learned a lot from you and whatever your answer is you'll always be my son. I said a lot more but can't type or remember it all. He hugged me and cried. Then said "I love you mom". I was a mother before I got pregnant and now I'm gonna be a mother to 2! He's gonna be a great big brother. And I'm sure you can guess what movie we watch after this😂
