October 2019 baby not talking

My bubba, it seems, refuses to talk. He’s an only child and almost completely unsocialized due to Covid. We don’t have cousins or close friends with you younger children. He also stays home with one of use and does not attend day care. We encourage him to use verbal language but he prefers to point or lead you to what he needs. His receptive language is intact. I’m often amazed that he understands certain things I ask him to do. He knows mostly all of his body parts. Can demonstrate his age but will not talk. I’m aware the speech therapy is an option. Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced this with their toddler.
