Should I shoot my shot? 🤔

I live in a small town so everyone kind of knows everyone or AT LEAST knows their family name. I added this guy on FB a few years ago but seen he had a girlfriend once he accepted my friend request so I never talked to him. Well him and this girl broke up a bit ago. I’ve never actually met him but I’ve seen him around town in bars and stuff but he never notices me. I’ve even went up to his friend group at the bar once and played dice with them and he didn’t notice me and decided not to play. Sometimes he posts funny things to his story and I’ll reply to his story with “haha I’m stealing this! “ or something but he never says anything back. recently I was thinking about messaging him. Do you think I should leave it alone since he never responded to my story replies? I’ve responded to like two in the last few years. I don’t think I’m his “type” because his girlfriends are always tiny blonde women and I’m a chubbier brunette. I’m like 180 lbs. I just don’t want to shoot my shot and then he rejects me and then I see him around town. Anyways what should I do? I’m 26 and I think he’s like 28 or 29
