Birth center/hospital tour

Just got back from our tour of our hospitals birthing center. While I knew I would love the facility from being there to visit other people after having their babies, I'm slightly disappointed. They have tubs for moms to labor in, but not to birth in. I was hoping to have a water birth but they don't allow it in their tubs. You'd have to get out and have the baby in the bed. They have birthing bar that is attached to the bed so you don't have to have the baby laying flat on your back, but I'm still bummed. Having to already think outside the box of my birth plan at 23 weeks is kind of a bummer. I always said I would remain open minded, and I am. But now it makes me want to check out an actual natural birthing center that we have here in town. My husband is so hesitant about the natural birth center that I feel like I will go to tour it, fall in love with it and then my husband won't be comfortable because it's not a hospital. 😕
