I'm about 7 weeks & my OB prescribed me Ambien to sleep. I have been on sleeping medication from my dr that isn't safe to take during pregnancy so he gave me Ambien to replace it. It's 10mg & quite honestly, it doesn't work great unless I take Benadryl, too.... I NEVER sleep. My question is does anyone else have experience taking it during your first trimester & if so, how did things turn out? I've read articles... & I know- it would be better to NOT take anything but that's just not going to happen. I'm worried about possible birth defects, etc. My OB delivered my first baby- I trust him 100000%... He did go to med school after all... But I still worry!
