Ima first time mom ebf, my daughter hasn't had a bowel movement in 4 days, she has enough wet diapers I'm sure, 6-7 a day. And has been eating almost every hr for about 10-15 mins, she is 7 weeks old. Just to know if this seems normal for a bf baby
I am calling her doctor this morning, they are just not open yet.

My 8 week old did the same! His last poop was early Saturday morning and he literally had a huge blow out on Wednesday right before his 2 month check up. Since then, he’s had 1 poop during the day and it’s a blowout. (Sad to say, I was happy for his blowout!) ha ha ha 😷

My doc told me that for EBF up to 7 days without a bowel movement is perfectly fine and normal. I was told to watch out for things like pain, swollen stomach, fever, and vomiting and that if baby’s still passing gas all is well

My baby is on week 7 and her poops have started to decrease (like 1 or 2 a day instead of every diaper change).  Apparently, around 6 weeks their digestive system is processing bm efficiency, and there is little to no waste.

Starting around 2 months old, EBF babies can go 10-14 days without pooping. With my second the longest she went was 10 days. The funny thing was I called the doctor when it had been 10 days since she pooped and then she pooped later that day. 😆

After six weeks, babes digestive systems start to regulate a little so it’s not abnormal for them to poop only once a week. It feels like such an abrupt change from the early days that it feels wrong even when it’s not. As long as their poo is an appropriate texture when they do go (not hard, mucusy, etc) then they are okay! If you feel like the baby is struggling or straining to go and is uncomfortable, you can do a gentle downward stroke massage on their belly with some lotion and use “bicycle legs” to get things going. 
All that said, definitely call your doc if you’re concerned. Trust your gut.
