Period or spotting? Please help

I had the rod implanted on November the 3rd and straight away I had a longer than usual period (7 days) my period this month was late so I assumed I wouldn't get it because of the rod but Yesterday I had blood in my discharge and then more this morning so I put a pad on just in case and then I went back to check and there was a blood patch, it's now late evening and I've had nothing new since? Is this spotting? Or is my period just being weird
