Anatomy Scan?

What's the difference between an ultrasound and an anatomy scan? I see people mentioning the two quite often, curious to know!

My ultrasounds have just been used to date how far along I was and to check the baby's heartbeat because the fetal doppler couldn't find it. The anatomy scan was where they measured every body part and checked the chambers in the heart, umbilical cord and brain. The anatomy scan was more detailed.

It also shows blood flow through baby and to make sure all organs are working properly . I'm so excited I have mine in two weeks!

It's an u/s where they take extra measurements to make sure baby is on track, doesn't have any abnormalities, and usually when most find out gender

From what I understand they are both ultrasounds but an anatomy scan is MUCH more in depth because that's when the baby is big enough that they can check and see how they are developing and also see what the gender is.
