WHY should I leave my son rear facing????
Okay so I know leaving my son rear facing is much safer than forward facing. My son is three and on the smaller side. I honestly feel like I can leave him rear facing for another year until he’s 4.5 maybe even 5 with no issues.
My mother and sister in law saw him rear facing and my sister in law was shocked and told me I was “supposed” to forward face him once he was two or else he could “break his legs”. I know that’s not true I know that it’s so much safer for him to rear face him and she was arguing with me telling me I was just too lazy to turn him around and offered to do it for me.
Someone on glow posted a really really perfectly written explanation about how it’s so much safer to rear face and even included an X-ray showing the development of the spine (I think?). I can’t remember who it was and I can’t find the post but I am sure it was On this board. I would love to save it so I can show it to them incase they try to flip my sons seat again. Thank you so much if anyone knows what I’m talking about lol
