Anyone have the cold and pregnant?

I'm 6 weeks pregnant and just got sick with the cold. Stuffy nose, run down.  I'm afraid to take any medicine in fear it may harm the baby.  Has anyone ever been sick with the cold and pregnant? What natural things have you done to help?  I'm so congested!

I was sick two weeks ago and I'm 37 weeks pregnant. It sucks! I didnt take any cold medicine. I just rested as much as possible. Made sure I drank lots of liquids. Made homemade chick noodle soup. I also made honey tea for my throat. It was a looooong process but I'm much better today for the first day. I'm 100%

My doc told me I could take Tylenol. I still don't do it just because I don't really like the idea of putting medicine in my system with a baby in there. But he said it's okay.

If you are not yet 36 weeks my midwife says it is safe to take sudafed as directed. I'm sick now and 27 weeks, it was a life saver for the two days that I literally couldn't breathe. Other than that I've used a humidifier with peppermint oil, hot showers, hot tea, soup, saline spray, rest and a lot of nose blowing. Good luck and hope you feel better soon..

I had a cold basically my whole first trimester. It sucked. I took Tylenol a couple times because my fever got up to 103, but besides that the saline flush helped a lot.

I had a bit of a cold when I was 9 weeks. I don't typically take medicine anyway, even when not pregnant. You could try one of those saline rinses to flush out your nose.

I've had two this pregnancy. I'm still kinda sick from the last one. I completely lost my voice on thanksgiving. I'm allergic to cold medicines so I can't take those. I just deal with it :/

It might also be allergies, hormones can exacerbate allergies and allergies can also make you feel sick. I'm 16 weeks now but my pregnancy has definitely done this to me. I would look up some remedies and relief for allergies before turning to cold medicines just in case?:)

I'm 13+3 and loaded with cold at the moment. I have been taking Paracetamol as I am told it is fine to take. We just have to power through other than that! Good luck x
