Are spiders killed in your house?

Just curious. I’ve always had arachnophobia but wasn’t allowed to kill them growing up. Always wondered what I would do with my future family

All spiders that come into my house must die.

It really depends on the spider in question. Widows and recluse are fair game. Daddy long legs, jumping spiders and garden spiders are spared. The latter is removed and taken back outside. The other two are left to roam and kill pests that get in. I had a jumping spider friend while I was quarantined with Covid. His name was Stephen and we met when he fell from my ceiling into my water cup. I saved him and then dum dum ended up falling off the ceiling AGAIN but just hit carpet the second time. He would patrol the room, ate a couple of flies and then moved into my lamp shade. He'd pop up every once in a while and if I put my arm up to wave at him, he'd stick a single leg up like returning the gesture. He was awesome and kept me company during a terrifying ordeal. I don't kill them, I capture and release. Hubby is a killer 😂

No. And we don't destroy their webs either. We need all the help we can get with flying insect control in our house.

Nah the spiders are the homies. We live in a wooded area so we need the spiders to keep the other bugs in check. I’ll take 10 house spiders over 100 ants any day

I have 2 cats who usually deal with any spiders or insects

In Australia...I kill white tails and anything smaller that can be harmful and bite.
The bigger ones I tend to see outside so obviously I just leave them.

Sometimes I set them loose, sometimes I send them in with the chickens for a little treat and entertainment 🤣

Yes, they die. My husband kills most of them because I am terrified of spiders. He oftentimes kills them without me seeing or knowing.
