Owlet or not?

Do any of you plan on purchasing the Owlet sock? I am a first time mom so I’m pretty scared of everything. I am reaaaally thinking about buying it but wanted to see some other opinions first. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nope. This is my third and I’ve never used one. We room share and even though my first had a choking turning purple incident right after she was born, that was more than enough and they’ve been fine. I’ve had friends have a lot of false alarms that caused them more stress than not having it. I don’t see the value in the cost, but that’s just my experience.

No, but we co-sleep with baby for about the first year so I am right there if anything happens.

I had 1 with my first, and will be using it again with my second. It really helped me sleep and have peace of mind. My first was in the Nicu after birth because her blood oxygen levels kept dropping, so to me the owlet was a no brainer. We never had issues with False alarms. I even used it once when my daughter was 1 and she was sick, and thank god I did. Her heart rate spiked to 220 with a 105 fever in the middle of the night and it alerted me and I was able to help her immediately. Love the owlet!

We got it as a precaution for our first and I’m so sooo thankful we did. He was full term but ended up in the NICU for two weeks with breathing problems. A week after we brought him home we got a red alert at 2am with his oxygen and heart rate dropping. We were able to wake him up and get his stats back to normal. If we hadn’t had the owlet then I’m not sure if our precious boy would even be with us today ❤️

We used it for our first and plan on for our second. We only got two false alarms. The most important thing is understanding it’s just another tool to help you. If it alarms knowing how to look at and assess your baby for an emergency before panicking and calling 911. Both times the sock was either loose or my husband put it on backwards lol. 
We found it to be very accurate. It gave us peace of mind knowing he was ok. I look forward to using it again.

We bought one for our first born and only used it 2 nights. With our second child we didn’t even bother. We actually gave it away to a friend who just had a baby because they wanted it and they said they only used it 1 night and never again. Nice idea but really not worth the money. If you keep your baby within earshot your natural instincts will do just fine ☺️ good luck!

I have friends that have it and love it if you got money to spend and don’t mind the false alarms get it. It was way too pricey for me I’m on my third kid and won’t be getting in’s now that’s for sure. If I had it for my first and passed it down to all three kids it would be awesome but I didn’t do that.

I used it with my first and plan to reuse it with this baby. I’m a bedsharing mom, I breastfeed and I follow all the rules for safe bedsharing- add I only like half way sleep when they are babies in my bed but the owlet gave me extra peace of mind when my 2 year old was much smaller. He slept on my chest for the first 3-4 months and I didn’t use it then but once I started laying him in bed with me, I did.

I’ve seen people say that it can burn the baby’s foot if worn too long and I feel like every little thing about it would give me anxiety. This is my second child and I never used one with my first so it’s a no for me

I’ve used the owlet up until my son was almost 2 years old. I recently got a bee one for the baby. My son was born at 35 and was in the nicu for 8 days, it was nice to have that piece of mind at night when he came home.
